Here's the pattern: tech and directory titles shifted first, then those catering to early adopters and younger audiences, next it's the recruitment and property press that switch entirely. Gradually the business press move - in spite the protection by higher ad revenues - and many of the motoring, travel and lifestyle stables of magazines thin out dramatically. The recession is simply accelerating the switch.
